To use the simulator you need a internet browser that supports HTML5, specifically the Canvas element.

The latest versions of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Opera all support this. Internet Explorer 8 does not.

The simulator is in public beta testing right now, eventually an option will be added to upload your photograph. For now you can either work on our strange drawn face OR connect to your Facebook profile and use your profile picture.

To download your face: click the "Click here to grab your profile picture" link. This will take you to another page on Rowdydow where you can choose to automatically connect to Facebook and download your profile photograph. There is currently no option to browse your Facebook photographs, but that is coming soon.

Possible bug: if, after using the 'Get your profile photo tool', you still see the strange drawn face - refresh the page.

Click on the menu under "Brush category" and choose the type of product you want to apply.

All brushes matching that will open beneath.

Click a brush and select it. You will see the "Current Brush" change.

Place your mouse cursor over your photograph and, just like using Microsoft Paint or Photoshop, hold the mouse button down and move the cursor to paint.

If you make a mistake, you can "undo" by clicking the pink undo box that appears above the brush selection.

We have set the brush sizes to be a good average for the majority of photographs. However - if you are very far away or up very close in your photograph, you may find the brush sizes to be either too big or too small.

To rectify this - click "Resize" next to "Current Brush" and, beneath the available brushes, a little box will open containing the sizes 1 to 10.

Select one, and then reload your brush (by selecting it again), and see how it looks.

Click the "click here to share with your friends" link to have the Rowdydow website send your finished image to your Facebook wall.
